Praise due to Allah the Almighty, Blessings and Peace of Allah the Almighty be upon the Prophet Muhammad, His Family and His Companions. There are two words in Islam which have great glory that should attract our attention and dedicate our awareness. This magnificent glory and related value have been visualized in Noble Sunnah via a perfect eloquent statements; .
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (Blessings and Peace of Allah be upon Him) said:
كلمتان خفيفتان على اللسان، ثقيلتان في الميزان، حبيبتان إلى الرحمن: سبحان الله وبحمده، سبحان الله العظيم
(Interpretation of meaning):
"There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy in the Scales and are dear to the Merciful: 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-Azim [Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, (and) Allah, the Greatest is free from imperfection]'."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Every Muslim has to devote his effort to be closer to Allah the Almighty and maximize his rewards. These two words will be a great method to achieve our goals by continuously uttering them; in street, in school, on bus and at work. Every minute is a precious asset to us for making great records of Hasnat (Rewards). Moreover, it will be amazing to memorize the Hadith and share this value with other Muslims. Sharing the glory of the two words has to be supported by a great deal of encouragement to drive Muslims to stick with this act the whole life. The two words will help us by the Mercy of Allah the Almighty to go to Paradise and avoid Hellfire. Hence, we have to always remember their values and treasures and frequently say:
سبحان الله وبحمده، سبحان الله العظيم
