Interpreation of the Meaning: "The Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) ascended the Minbar (Pulpit) and said: โ€œAmeen, ameen, ameen.โ€ It was said: โ€˜O Messenger of Allaah, you ascended the Minbar (Pulpit) and said, โ€˜Ameen, ameen, ameen.โ€ He said: โ€œJibreel (Peace be upon him) came to me and said: โ€˜If Ramadaan comes and a person is not forgiven, he will enter Hell and Allah will cast him far away. Say Ameen.โ€™ So I said Ameen. He said: โ€˜O Muhammad, if both or one of a personโ€™s parents are alive and he does not honour them and he dies, he will enter Hell and Allah will cast him far away. Say Ameen.โ€™ So I said Ameen. He said: โ€˜If you are mentioned in a personโ€™s presence and he does not send blessings upon you and he dies, he will enter Hell and Allah will cast him far away. Say Ameen.โ€™ So I said Ameen.โ€ย

Narrated by Ibn Hibbaan, 3/188; classed as saheeh by al-Shaykh al-Albaani inย Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1679.ย

This means that Ramadan should be a turning point in the life of every Muslim: a turning point from sins to repentance, from negligence to diligence, from deviation to guidance and from leaning on the life of this world to hastening towards the Paradise of the Hereafter.
